Suddenly the sun was on the Devil’s Teeth. Within a few minutes, the sun had come over the mountains to the south and bathed the entire fjord flank in bright white. As soon as this happened, the surf in the foreground was also highlighted by the sun.
How different this mood was to the morning mood in snowfall and without direct sunlight. Unfortunately, the surf was still so strong that many of the areas in the foreground were flooded by individual waves. I respectfully stood further back and, above all, higher up, but a group of photographers stood lower down and were surprised by a wave at some point. They themselves had only got wet, but one photographer had put her rucksack — open — behind her. A deadly sin, as it turned out. All her interchangeable objects and a second camera got a dip in the salt water of the Arctic Sea!
Some time later, I took advantage of a quiet period and took the reflection of the Devil’s Teeth in the foreground, of course with the photo backpack on my back!
Which picture do you like better, the cover picture or this one?

Beide Fotos haben ihren Reiz. Die große Welle dominiert, so dass die Berge in den Hintergrund treten. Bei dem anderen Bild dominieren die Berge.
