Iceland - Mælifell

For kilometers, Mælifellsandur, a vast black plateau, stretches north of the glacier Mýrdalsjökull. At one eastern end lies the conical cone of Mælifell, completely overgrown with moss. The contrast between the black outwash plain and the green mountain cone is great here.
