The BRAHMS KONTOR office building in Hamburg is located opposite the Laeiszhalle at Johannes-Brahms-Platz. It was build 1904 by the architects Werner Lundt and Georg Kallmorgen. Between 1920–1922 and 1928–1931 the original building was built up and expanded. The duo Ferdinand Sckopp and Willhelm Vortmann  erected a steel construction based on American skyscrapers: the first modern skyscraper of Hamburg.
2005–2008 it was modernized, but the fine details of the orignal building has been preserved.

If you stand in front of the plain brickstone building you never know, how it looks inside. At the basement green and red colors are dominand. But from the first floor on, you have yellow colors. From that floor a spiral staircase runs through the building. I have focused on that fantastic staircaise with a few images.
