Austvågøya, Lofoten
| 1 IMAGE IN THE BLOG POST | No Comments

I arrived in Lofoten on a rainy day in February 2025. All the snow that had fallen on Lofoten & Vesterålen in the previous weeks was melting. Rain, storms, even the ferry connections to the Lofoten Islands were interrupted for days.

As I had spent the first few nights in Svolvær, I took a short trip around the Lofoten island of Austvågøya. A bay stretched far into the island and this is where I found my subject. The rocks in the foreground are shaped like the mountains in the background. You can sense the wet weather. The rocks are slightly shiny, but the mountains in particular have disappeared into the haze.

I tried to bring a little drama but a lot of atmosphere to the picture.
