During the last weeks I had several appointments in the Hamburg Chamber of Crafts to photograph their halls and foyers. The Chamber of Crafts will provide several websites with uniform picture material in order to improve its offer. So far, the room shots were rather snapshots, which all had different color temperatures and perspectives. I started to bring a »natural« perspective and coloring into my shots.
For me, the cooperation with the event service of the Chamber of Crafts was special. The rooms were prepared for me and the photographs, as was the case with the Great Hall above. For example, I’ve never seen the Great Hall empty before, but at the beginning of January I even got it freshly beveled in front of my lenses.
Great Hall
The perspective from the back wall shows the size of the hall:
At the end of December, the room for the final annual meeting of the Chamber of Crafts was festively decorated with rows of tables:
At the beginning of February a lecture meeting was planned and the Great Hall was equipped with 350 chairs:
Small hall
The Small Hall is directly connected to the Great Hall and can be connected to it. With rows of chairs, it also offers room for 160 people. The special feature of this hall is its modern lighting technology, with which very different lighting moods can be produced. Of course I played with the lights when I took the pictures. Modern and classic, here a great addition.
