Fruit fly on coneflower (0019)
| 1 IMAGE IN THE BLOG POST | No Comments

The fruit fly uses flowers quite differently than bees. Instead of collecting pollen, it seems that the fruit fly bathes in them. The whole body is covered with the yellow pollen from the coneflower, even on the eye pollen can be seen. It almost looks like the fly is wearing a full beard.
