On two days over the turn of the year we had sunshine and not grey clouds together with drizzle. Photographically it was almost as boring because there weren’t any clouds in the sky that evening. But I was drawn to Hamburg just because of the dryness. After photographing the Heiligengeist Bridge over the Alsterfleet a few days before, I discovered the Herrengrabenfleet that runs west of the Alsterfleet. There is Hamburg second oldest bridge the Ellernstorsbrücke from the year 1668.
I have decided for this strongly condensed view, so the bridge comes into focus. Around it there are many modern buildings that can push the bridge into the background. In addition, the pure blue sky would have contributed little to the picture.
